{shop opportunity, shop ethical ocean}
A few weeks ago a friend of mine passed along some info about a new e-commerce site that is home to some pretty stylish and ethical products.It’s name: Ethical Ocean.
I have to say, I use to think that one could not rock fashion forward pieces that were also ethically sourced without paying a hefty price tag. Well, this site proves that theory is just down right wrong. You can not only find some pretty cute/affordable clothing items but you can read about how, who and where they made. Pretty awesome in my book.
the “taryn” jacket at club monaco. love.
{pick me up}
I came across this video this morning and was so incredibly moved by its message. A young boy, who is currently battling cancer, put this video together featuring his fellow patients at a Seattle Hospital Cancer Unit. I have always been a fan of Kelly Clarkson but I have to say these guys sure give her a run for money with their rendition of Stronger.
A long time friend of mine {the ever so talented and artsy Haley Beth Sampey} has worked for Club Monaco for the past years. Love her job, Love her wardrobe, Jealous of her job and wardrobe.
Haley sits in the company’s outerwear department and last fall was working on their spring collection. She took one look at this jacket and said “this looks like something my friend Taryn would wear”. And dont you know it, the name stuck and now this girl has a jacket with her name on it…literally! Pretty cool stuff. The Taryn Jacket rocks if I do say so myself. Check it out!
{three little ladies}
Ready for the weekend? Me too! Another kick back photo before we get our weekend on.
Fun fact about me, I am one of three girls. My mom snapped this photo of my dad with his three leading ladies and it brings back fond memories. In fact his birthday is quickly approaching and since I am a bit too far to make the trip home, I need some ideas for online gifts! I am not usually one to send gifts electronically so if you know of any thoughtful / meaningful/ sentimental online gifts for your dad, please send them my way!
{better late than never kampala}
A few weeks ago, I traveled to Kampala, Uganda with my roommate Celine to visit our friends Steve, Frankie and Sid. We sure did see the sites of this city. In fact we happen to jump on a group tour {organized by our hospitable hosts) and hopped around town on some old school matatus with some quality company. Here are a few photos from our day of being total tourists and loving every minute of it.
{sunday’s best and capturing the moment. i need to take a page from their book.}
